The ECTP-CEU representation applies a system of prioritisation.<\/p>

Priority 1<\/h2>

First priority are all European organisations or institutions directly involved with spatial planning policies or issues, active on the entire European continent and territorially covering as much ECTP-CEU members as possible. ECTP-CEU representation is meant to be continuous, based on a long-term engagement and formally established decision. A specific budget line is foreseen by ECTP-CEU, if no other funding is provided by the organising entity or others.<\/p>

EU \u2013 DG Regio NTCCP\/UDTC and UDG\/DGUM<\/h3>

Full names: National Territorial Cohesion Contact Points<\/em> \/ Directors-General on Territorial Cohesion<\/em> and Urban Development Group<\/em> \/ Directors-General for Urban Matters<\/em>.<\/p>

Joris Scheers<\/strong> (VRP, Honorary President) is currently nominated for his second 4 year-term from 2024 to 2027. It has been agreed that during the last 2 years of his mandate, a shadowing period will take place to introduce the new representative, Brian McCarthy<\/strong> (IPI). He will take over the role at the beginning of 2028.<\/p>

Council of Europe \u2013 CEMAT, CDDEM, CINGO<\/h3>

Full names: Steering Committee for Culture, Heritage and Landscape<\/em> (Comit\u00e9 Directeur de la Culture, du Patrimoine et du Paysage), Steering Committee on Democracy<\/em> (Comit\u00e9 Directeur sur la D\u00e9mocratie), Conference of International Non-Governmental Organisations<\/em>.
Kent H\u00e5kull<\/strong> (FKP) has been introduced to this mission in 2024 during a 1-year shadowing period with the previous representative Luc-\u00c9mile Bouche-Florin<\/strong> (Honorary President), who successfully served the ECTP-CEU in this role for many years.<\/p>

CoR-COTER<\/h3>

Full name: European Committee of the Regions<\/em> \u2013 Commission for Territorial Cohesion Policy and EU Budget<\/em>.
No applications were received in response to the 2023 call. The Executive Committee has asked Dominique Lancrenon<\/strong> (SFU) to continue the mission which she fulfils since 2020.<\/p>

AESOP<\/h3>

Full name: Association of European Schools of Planning<\/em>.
The mission is assigned to Janet Askew<\/strong> (RTPI).<\/p>

Priority 2<\/h2>

Second priority are all organisations, active in fields that are linked with Spatial planning, where ECTP, due to its Europe-wide approach and being an umbrella organisation, can play an interesting role. ECTP will take up the engagement if possible and appropriate but will in principle not finance any expenses from the ECTP-budget. So other (travel and accommodation) financing needs to be looked for. If the organising entity covers the expenses and Exco decides it is relevant, ECTP will try to send a representative. Only in exceptional cases, Exco can decide to pay a part of the expenses for representation. In this case, co-financing is always required. Invitations are always send to and responded by the ECTP-CEU secretariat.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

  • IFLA-Europe (International Federation of Landscape Architects): The mission is assigned to Catherine Vilquin<\/strong> (CUB).<\/li>
  • AIVP (Association Internationale Villes et Ports): The mission is assigned to Chantal Guillet<\/strong> (SFU).<\/li>
  • Europa Nostra: No representative has been appointed yet; a new call for applications will be launched.<\/li>
  • COBATY International: The mission is assigned to Chantal Guillet<\/strong> (SFU).<\/li>
  • GPN (Global Planners\u2019 Network): The mission is assigned to Vincent Goodstadt<\/strong> (RTPI, Honorary President).<\/li>
  • UN-Habitat: The mission is assigned to Virginie Rippinger<\/strong> (SFU\/OPQU).<\/li>
  • Civilscape: The ExCo decides to leave the post vacant.<\/li><\/ul>

    Priority 3<\/h2>

    Third priority are those organisations, institutions, countries, regions or cities that invite ECTP-CEU on an ad hoc basis. If ECTP-CEU contribution is considered to be relevant, the Executive Committee can decide that an ECTP-CEU representative participates in an event or meeting. Expenses are always covered by the organising entity. The ECTP-CEU does not provide any budgetary support whatsoever.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
