“Festival Architettura” is a programme for the promotion of contemporary Italian architecture financed by the Directorate General “Contemporary Creativity” of the Italian Ministry of Culture.

IF Festival Architettura aims to consolidate the connections between research and design, to create knowledge, tools and awareness that encourage the industry’s transition towards sustainability. IF Festival Architettura is a place for cultural exchange that considers the importance for planners and architects to dialogue with economists, sociologists, engineers and of course citizens.

The project outlines two approaches: recovery of industrial archaeology and design of contemporary buildings.

Exhibitions, seminars, workshops and study days, at the Italian national level as well as with the project’s international partners, are to identify the key elements of contemporary industrial environment planning and design.

The festival itself was held between 28^th March and 8^th April 2025, while the dissemination activity started immediately after and will be concluded by 15^th October 2025. The dissemination meeting organised by the ECTP-CEU will be held on 19^th September 2025 at the Lombard building of the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Faculty of Architecture “La Cambre Horta”.
