Biennale 2026 in Lisbon – Call for Projects

The Lens of Time in Spatial Planning

Le Call for projects of the 15th Biennale of European Towns and Town Planners has been published by APU (Associação Portuguesa de Urbanistas, Portuguese Association of Planners), an ECTP-CEU member and local organiser of this year’s edition of the Biennale. The previous biennale was held in Naples in 2024.

The Biennale will take place in Lisbon, Portugal from Wednesday 11th to Friday 13th November 2026. In the afternoon of the first day, the participants are giving the opportunity to participate in planners-specific guided tours of the city of Lisbon. The following two days will be dedicated to the conference with welcome addresses and keynote speeches in plenary sessions, and planning project, research and the Atelier pour jeunes urbanistes presentations in several parallel sessions. There will also be a rich programme of social events in the evenings.

The Biennale is followed on Saturday 14th November by the 2026 Autumn General Assembly of the ECTP-CEU. The morning session is for delegates only, while the afternoon session is open to the public, but with limited seats (booking in advance is required).
