The Professional Association of Dutch Urban Designers and Planners, abbreviated BNSP, was formed on 30 June 1998 from a merger of the BNS Association of Dutch Urban Designers, founded on 21 December 1935, and the BNP Association of Dutch Planners, founded on 13 May 1991.
The association is an association of professionals, agencies and institutes, (parts of) government organisations, non-profit organisations and educational institutions working in spatial planning, spatial research, urban development and planning.
