Description

The Serbian Town Planner Association – STPA (Serb. Удружење урбаниста Србије) is the main professional association for Serbian urbanists – experts of urban planning and design – mainly engineers in architecture, but also civil and geodetic engineers, economists, spatial planners, ecologists, etc.

The association was founded in 1955 as the Society of Urbanists of Serbia. Among the numerous activities of the STPA, it is important to mention the following: the improvement of urban and territorial policy, proposals for solutions in related legislation, and professional expertise in urban planning and design. The association is managed by its president and the presidency of 20 members from the different parts of Serbia.

Two main annual events organised by the STPA are:

(1) International Exhibition in Urbanism (in Serbian and English)

(2) national Conference “Urbanism and Sustainable Development” (mainly in Serbian).
